Harmony and Freedom
The words ”harmony” and ”freedom” sound like a perfect match but expecting complete harmony by way of complete freedom is not something that can succeed for a people as a whole. In every community, the population fights to run themselves by way of their free-thinking, as long as it’s within just and reasonable parameters. However, those parameters may have different definitions depending on who regulates matters regarding justice. Justice regulated through a voted government is only just for those that voted for that particular governing body.
We are free to take opposing sides, but opposition without the goal of compromise leads to division as a whole, and harmony is attained only within smaller factions of that very population. Harmony split up between communities leads to growth in opposing ideals. Of course, peace is easy to find when surrounding yourself with people that have similar mentalities, but without a common goal or conversations to reach a common ground, it just becomes a fight to see which ideals take up positions of power.
Without open-mindedness, complete freedom is an enemy to complete harmony. Take pride in free-thinking but tend to your thoughts for the sake of peace, change, and learning so that conversations can be made with progression. Everyone is free to believe whatever they want but harmony will only come with reevaluation until there is some form of united front.
